Job Description

Workshop Engineer (Refurbishment/Machining) £20,000 + Company benefits St Helens, Haydock Are you a Mechanical Engineer with experience of manual machining and assembly looking for a days based role, Monday - Friday On offer is a long term permanent role with a well-established, small company where you will be stripping and building roll assemblies and refurbishing dies. This company are a well established renewables and agricultural company who sell and refurbish specialist machinery across the UK. This role would suit Mechanical Engineer with experience of manual machining and assembly looking for a days based role, Monday - Friday. THE ROLE

  • Cleaning dies on return using the jet wash and identifying refurbishment requirements.
  • Operating of the Lathe, Grinder and Countersink machines.
  • Stripping and rebuilding of Roll Assembly identifying parts required.
  • Booking in dies/rolls returned using the Goods Inward procedure.
  • Raising Job Cards for incoming Dies and Rolls identifying specification and Customer details.
  • Assisting in monthly stock take of all Roll Assembly parts, dies and work in progress.
  • Preparing dies and rolls for despatch, wrapping and strapping for safe transit.
  • Responsible for keeping their work station clean and safe from hazards, always being aware of Health and Safety standards within the work place.
  • Operating the Fork lift truck when required for loading and unloading vehicles, moving goods around.
  • Understanding and adhering to relevant procedures within the work place.
  • Working with co-workers as a team to ensure the customers needs and the required quality standards are achieved
  • Working on own initiative to deliver to production schedules
  • Be prepared to be flexible and cooperative to undertake other tasks as requested by Operations Manager
