Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing team.Job Title: Senior Civil EngineerLocation: Merseyside, WA10 3TPSalary: £40,000 to £50,000 per year (commensurate with experience) + benefits (please see below)About us:We are an established civil and structural engineering consultancy based in St Helens. The business has grown steadily over the last 10 years and developed a reputation for reliability, quality, and professionalism. To support our continued growth, we arenow looking for a qualified and experienced Engineer to join the team.Projects will range from:

  • High rise residential developments with project values to £50m.
  • Low rise residential developments with project value £500k-£2.0m.
  • Industrial and commercial office developments with project values to £10m.
  • New build and refurbishments of Supermarket and Public Houses to £2m.
  • The candidate must have sound project management and communication skills, both written and verbal, and be willing to develop graduate engineers and be comfortable dealing with clients on a daily basis.
The role:
  • Supporting the Directors.
  • Taking the lead role on the engineering design of projects.
  • Guiding technicians to produce working drawings.
  • Undertaking, site inspections, attending DTMs & progress meetings as the project leader
  • Supporting teammates for projects in a collaborative fast-paced environment.
  • Using effective verbal and written communication to update team with project statuses.
The ideal candidate:
  • Will have minimum 10 years of work experience in civil engineering design including SUDS assessments, hydraulic drainage design, able to liaise with the local authorities to obtain statutory approvals, i.e. S106, S104, S185 applications, S278 applications.
  • Must have knowledge of micro drainage and civils 3d.
  • Will be a self-starter and has the ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The role would develop to Associate level given the right applicant.
