Job Description

Position: SENCoLocation: MerseysideContract: Temp - PermSalary: MPS/UPSStart Date: ASAP Satis Education are recruiting! We are recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SENCo for our client school in Merseyside. The role is initially on a temporary basis with the view to the position becoming permanent. Ideally, we As a SENCO, youll be an experienced teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs. Working closely with the head teacher and other senior colleagues, youll use your leadership skills to manage provision in the school and providesupport to other teachers.Main purpose of the post:

  1. The SENCO, under the direction of the Head of Adult Services will:
    1. Determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the School & College
    2. Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual learners/students with SEN or a disability
    3. Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents/carers and other agencies
  2. To lead on the implementation of the SEND Policy in line with the Code of Practice
  3. To lead the Special Educational Needs Support in Education (SENSE) ethos in creating a positive, inspirational and productive level of support for young people and their families
  4. To uphold the aims, ethos and philosophy of the company established by the CEO
  5. To adhere to all policies as validated by the CEO, Head of Adult Services, Governing Body and Trustees
