Location - St Helens & WarringtonThe CompanyA market leading company that designs, manufactures and supplies high quality haulage side curtains, roll on roll off covers, straps, sheeting, tarpaulins and drives innovation through continuous new product development.With a strong emphasis on customer service and sustaining supplier relationships, they have established distribution channels with independent and national haulage companies across the UK.The organisation provides the structure and support to ensure those with the desired potential and ambition can achieve long-term career progression.The RoleA Transport Cover Sales Executive is required to manage existing accounts and develop new business within the independent retail channel across the North of England & The MidlandsYou will develop customer relationships with new and existing customers, typically large haulage companies, there will be a customer base to develop and exploitThe role would benefit a self-motivated individual seeking their first role in field sales, as a comprehensive induction and ongoing training programme is provided. Applications are encouraged from those working in haulage sales or working within the haulage industry.This is a field based role and therefore the successful candidate should live in the North West of England.Key ObjectiveAchieve territory revenue growth through effective sales and marketing initiatives. Increase range penetration within the existing account portfolio, and secure new product listings within new accounts.Duties- Manage and develop an existing account portfolio through long-term relationship- Effective account planning, diary and journey management- Proactively identify prospect customers and secure new business- Maximise product sell-in to increase listings- Develop company presence through attending trade shows and marketing events- Promote new seasonal ranges- Achieve high levels of customer service and satisfaction- Maintain awareness of competitor activity- Price negotiations.- Achieve agreed KPIs and sales targets- Work to a consistently high standardDesired Skills & Experience- Self-starter, able to work on own initiative- Have worked in the haulage / transport industry in a sales capacity & have an understanding of the industry and trucks in general- Proven relationship builder- Confident in your ability to win new business- Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written- Results oriented to achieve sales and activity target- Able to create productive internal and external stakeholder relationships- Knowledge of IT software packages, including Word and Excel.- Must have a clean driving license
