Job Description

Senior Project Engineer (Electrical, Medium Voltage) -£40,000-£45,000+Bonus – St Helens, MerseysideMy client is a leading Electrical Solutions provider with offices all over the world. They provide high added value products and services for their customers who are largely Utitlty companies. Due to exciting growth in their UK base in St Helens in Merseyside, we are looking to recruit for a Senior Project Engineer (Electrical, Medium Voltage) to join the team.As the newly appointedSenior Project Engineer (Electrical, Medium Voltage) you will be working closely with the sales team and helping to design and deliver solutions to new customers.The SeniorProject Engineer (Electrical, Medium Voltage) will be responsible for defining and specifying the solution for the client including:

  • Switchboard Configuration
  • VT’s and CT’s requirements
  • Protection and control system overview
  • Distribution transformers
  • LV board & auxiliary services
  • Building/enclosure
    • You will attend multiple ‘Remote’ meetings with the Sales and Manager and clients and be responsible for designing and drawing up the solution for the Design team using Single Line Diagrams and Key Line Diagrams for protection and control.The Senior Project Engineer (Electrical, Medium Voltage) will then manage the project and pass details and scope to the production and design engineers whilst also providing full technical support to them.To be considered for this role of Senior Project Engineer (Electrical, Medium Voltage) candidates must have previous experience as an electrical engineer, preferably within the electrical contracting or utilities industries. You will possess excellent technical knowledge and be able to apply this in a practical way
  • Minimum of HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Previous experience of project delivery or a project management role including experience of dealing with suppliers, clients and supervision of staff.
  • Working knowledge of any CAD based software ideally AUTOCAD.
  • Have obtained or desire to work towards professional registration.
  • Previous experience of MV networks at 1000V to 35KV is advantageous.
