Job Description

Payroll ManagerBased: Haydock areaSalary: highly dependent on experience, good opportunity to make an exciting role your own!Our client is an award-winning, industry leading support services business based near Haydock. Supporting a huge number of businesses throughout the UK with their unrivalled services, they have various regional offices and continue to grow as a business. With further acquisitions planned over the next 12 months and few years, they are keen to bring payroll back in-house creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll ManageRole:

  • Managing and developing end to end payroll processes ensuring all aspects of payroll are compliance
  • Oversee a small, developing payroll team
  • Reviewing current processes and suggesting improvements where necessary
  • Ensuring staff hours are reported correctly, devising any improvements to current system deemed required
  • Working with Financial Controller to streamline processes ensuring payroll runs smoothly
  • Processing payroll for up to 4000 employees, liaising with ADP
  • Ensure all bonuses, overtime and car allowance payments are processed correctly and in line with company policy
  • Preparing regular and accurate stakeholder reports
  • Attachment of earnings process, auto-enrolment and pension assessment including submissions to workplace pension scheme
  • Managing end to end SSP, SMP, SPP processes
  • Bank payments, liaising with Inland Revenue
  • Liaising with HR and stakeholders on projects including Tupe, tenders, costings etc.
  • Experience:
  • Strong payroll knowledge with proven experience in improving processes
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and HMRC/legislative requirements
  • Organised, good time management and strong attention to etail
  • Problem solving ability and able to deal with any payroll challenges
  • CIPP qualification desirable but not essential
