Job Description

Operations Manager / Branch ManagerConstruction / Repairs Industry - North West - Liverpool / Wigan / WarringtonPermanent role - £45,000 to £50,000 plus car/allowance & bonus (OTE £60/65k)We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager / Branch Manager to join a successful building contractor in the North West. The successful Operations Manager / Branch Manager will be responsible for the management of a team of Contracts Managers who are carrying out property reinstatement projects, whilst maintaining good relationships with the company clients, ensuring good cost management, profitability in the business and that all SLA’s are met.Job role and responsibilitiesThis role will suit an experienced Branch / Operations Manager who has worked within the construction / building / property maintenance industry. The successful candidate will have full operational responsibility for the branch and projects being carried out whilst managing, mentoring & training the staff.Responsibilities:

  • Complete supervision and performance management of Contracts Managers (x 4)
  • Capacity planning and job allocation of claims to relevant teams (direct & subs)
  • Ensure projects are programmed/scheduled effectively and profit margins are achievable
  • KPI / SLA management and performance reviews
  • Investigation and resolution of any customer/client complaints
  • Financial reviews, cost management and providing regular updates to Ops Director
  • Assist in the final accounts of high value/complex claims
  • Recruitment of staff / sub-contractors as required
  • Review of processes to improve where necessary and remove wastage/improve profitability
  • Ensure all claims are fully managed by staff, updated and progressing to time and within budget
  • Oversight of Health & Safety
  • What skills/experience will you needFor this role you will need to:
  • Demonstrate operational management experience and commercial awareness
  • Have experience in managing residential property refurbishment/construction projects from inception to completion
  • Staff management experience
  • Experience in managing contract managers, trades staff & sub-contractors
  • Costs, KPI’s and SLA’s management
  • Have maintained relationships with clients (i.e. insurance companies/loss adjusters/contractors)
