Job Description

Were looking for a talented Marketing Manager to work for us. We want to recruit someone with skills to develop, plan and deliver on the marketing and communications activities for the Chamber, its initiatives and brands across the business, contributingto ensuring that our activities are successful in achieving our targets, and that our stakeholders understand the work that we do.If thats you then you could be exactly what were looking for.The Role:You will develop and ensure the effective delivery of marketing plans across all Chamber services and programmes, in line with marketing budgets. The role will include line management responsibility for the Graphic Designer, and you will lead the day-to-dayactivities of the Marketing Team, ensuring projects are scheduled in with the team and delivered in line with agreed timescales. Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with the rest of the Chamber Team is an essential part of the role alongwith delivering effective and regular reporting that measures the impact of marketing and engagement activity, including tracking, analysing and reporting on activity and performance.You will also be required to:

  • Prepare and manage the annual Marketing budget ensuring that a best practice approach is taken.
  • Operate surveys and conduct market research to understand the market conditions and need, such as the Quarterly Economic Survey.
  • Act as brand champion for the Chamber and our sub-brands, creating consistency in tone of voice and application of branding guidelines.
  • Drive and manage ongoing and future developments to the Chambers website including supply chain management.
  • Manage the creation of effective online and offline marketing collateral, assets and campaigns, ensuring they meet the brand requirements stipulated by funding bodies such as central and regional government funding.
  • Organise or support a range of events, from small to large scale, across a range of Chamber brands and initiatives.
The Candidate:The ideal candidate for this Marketing Manager position will have the ability to manage effective customer and supplier relationships and effectively engage with under-represented groups or individuals from deprived areas. You will have excellent verbaland written communication skills along with excellent attention to detail. The ability to understand and follow financial processes and procedures is also a requirement. You will be driven by quality with a strong focus on good customer service and have anability to build rapport with people at all levels. Experience of effective use of technology such as a CRM, Scheduling Software, Social Media, Website, Google Analytics etc. is also required.In addition, youll need to:
  • Be highly organised
  • Be self-motivated
  • Have a supportive nature
  • A degree or Marketing/Communication related qualification is desirable; educated to GCSE Grade C or above in English in Maths is essential for the role.
