Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, based in St Helens for a leading National Supermaket. We are seeking experienced Class 1 drivers who are looking for a long term opportunityJob Summary

  • HGV1 Driver (Will be expected to drive both HGV1 and HGV2 Vehicles)
  • Deliveries of ambient, chilled and produce (Fruit/Veg)
  • Mainly store deliveries and occasional DCs - Covering from Leicester to Carlise/Penrith - Occasionally have a trunk to East Kilbride
  • Usually up to 3 drops however if on a HGV2 then can be up to 5 drops - However is usually on average 3
  • Average 10-12 hour shifts
    • Job Description
  • All loads are either caged or pallets - no handball
  • Single decker boxed trailers - Single manned
  • No planned nights out however all vehicles are sleeper cabs
  • 24/7 operation however the bulk of their requirements tend to be either Friday to Monday on PM/Noons or Tuesday/Wednesdays
    • Pay RatesPAYE ("upto" refers to Parity rates)
  • Days- £11.50 upto £14.79
  • Nights- £12.50 upto £16.83
  • Saturday- £14.05 upto £15.52
  • Sunday- £16.00 up to £17.56
