Job Description

Our client is an international and prestigious business servicing a number of regulated industries including the medical sector. They are currently looking for a Head of R&D Projects to manage R&D teams who are working on advanced medical and industrialgas equipment projects.The role will also focus on the project delivery model. The Global Innovation team runs concurrently in the region of 30 projects. This role will be working with the Director of Innovation to implement improvements to develop and manage the project portfolioand R&D strategy.ResponsibilitiesDevelopment and management of 12 R&D engineers. Project deliveries on time, on budget. Filing new products for medical device certification CE/FDA approval. Assisting with audits. KPI and analysis reporting on projectsExperience Requirements

  • Experience preferably in medical devices and/or gas industry or other high regulatory industry (e.g. aero, pharma, auto etc.)
  • Research & Development experience
  • Projects management
  • Proven track record in innovation
  • Proven track record in multi project environment and successfully delivery
  • CE marking to MDR and FDA 510k filings (if medical device products)
Qualifications
  • Ideally degree qualified or equivalent work experience
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent work experience
  • Project management qualifications a plus
  • Medical device certifications if from the industry
Ideal Requirements (flexible)
  • CAD & PLM proficiency preferred
  • Electronics design would be an advantage
  • Medical design requirements preferred
  • FDA filing, CE marking & ISO 13485 if medical devices
  • Pressure equipment directive - these are by no means deal breakers.
