The company strive to generate interest, awareness and understanding of issues around poverty and Social welfare and the impact of this on our wider communities.Join our client on their journey to outstanding and become a member of their dedicated Senior Leadership Team in a role that leads the Income Generation, Fundraising and Marketing department to achieving the aims and objectives of the Strategic Plan.The RoleReporting to the Chief Governance Officer the Head of Income Generation and Fundraising is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and takes responsibility for creation of new, innovative concepts to increase the company income generation, developing successful connections and relationships with high-net worth individuals, charitable trusts, foundations and other institutional funders.The role carries responsibility for the strategic leadership, development and management of fundraising, retail, marketing and PR activities to ensure the long-term growth and success and financial sustainability of the charity in line with the strategic plan and values. Previous Knowledge and Experience We are looking for a very flexible and tenacious leader, with a great dedication and emotional intelligence to develop the services.Experience of the Code of Fundraising Practice and the IoF Code of Conduct.Working knowledge of fundraising legislation, the Fundraising Regulator and best practice standards.Ability to prepare reports and give presentations on fundraising progress to the Fundraising Strategy Group and the Trustees.Experience of managing budgets, financial forecasting and achieving targets.Experience of providing management, leadership, inspiration and motivation to all direct reports (including regular supervision meetings, appraisals, team meetings etc).Experience of planning, implementation and review of target lead strategyExperience in delivery of marketing strategy.Experience of working with the media on reputation management, crisis PR and general profile raising.Experience of developing relationships with local politicians, and local government officials in order to advance the organisation’s aims.Experience of implementation and delivery of Income Generation plans.Experience developing programmes of fundraising and profile raising activities to achieve targets.Experience of developing plans for approaches to and development of high-net worth individuals through relationship building.Experience of regular giving though legacies, lotteries and other channels.Experience of making direct approaches and developing and tailoring fundraising proposals.
