Job Description

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems and components for various applications. They will work on projects that involve creating electrical schematics, circuit designs, and layouts for systems.Client DetailsThe client designs and manufacture solutions aimed at digitalising the electrical grid to integrate more renewable energy generation.Description

  • Creation of diagrams and schematics required by the project (single line diagrams, Key-line diagrams, AC & DC, wiring.
  • Work in collaboration with production engineering to create the list of materials and component specifications.
  • Give technical support to the rest of the team (Commercials, production)
  • Give technical advice and assistance within the organisation on electrical matters.
  • Be involved and lead the project during the manufacturing, installation and commissioning activities.
Profile
  • Formal engineering qualification.
  • Knowledge of AUTOCAD. Knowledge of EPLAN would be of interest also.
  • Project management
  • Knowledge of the UK standards and presentation of electrical schematics within the MV/HV industry.
  • Protection and control systems design experience according to DNO standards in the UK.
  • Good knowledge of protection relays would be an advantage and experience creating settings and PSL files would be viewed favourably.
  • As part of our substation design, a knowledge of LV electrical installations and 18th edition wiring regulations would be useful but not essential.
  • Awareness of relevant ENA standards would be advantageous.
  • A flexible approach. We sometimes have to assist with and cover colleagues duties. We work as a team to achieve our company goals.
  • The candidate may be required to occasionally visit sites and possibly our factories in Spain.
