Job Description

Adecco Warrington are on the lookout for an experienced Credit Risk Analyst to join a truly incredible and ever-expanding company based in the heart of Haydock. This is a permanent role for someone with prior experience dealing with Credit Risk in a Financial organisation.Could this be you Are you a confident individual looking for your next challenge in an autonomous role where you can develop your knowledge and technical skills whilst using your imagination to add value to an already incredible businessThis is a full-time office based role with remote flexibility. Working 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday (8:00am - 4:00pm / 8:30am - 4:30pm / 9:00am - 5:00pm)Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum - depending on experienceAs a Credit Analyst youll be responsible for supporting and working closely with the Credit Risk Manager with overseeing credit risk and identifying opportunities to optimise and mitigate risk whilst ensuring continued business growth. This position isresponsible for supporting the Credit Analysis team & Accounts Receivable teams. The Credit Analysis team focuses on creating and sustaining an environment where the ongoing credit worthiness of customers is assessed and monitored.Main Responsibilities include:

  • To produce robust analysis and regular reports to support risk oversight ensuring the organisation remains within its stated risk appetite and enable effective risk management.
  • Support the credit risk manager with the credit risk portfolio and identifying key risks within the business.
  • Ensure all credit applications and the associated reporting is conducted with full compliance to the Companys policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the ongoing maintenance of credit limits set are appropriate and in line with Delegation of Authority & Group Credit Policy
  • To constantly monitor the risk environment and macro-economic trends, provide updates to the key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure data and assumptions are valid and sound opinions are communicated to stakeholders in a convincing, understandable and concise manner.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for mitigating risk on a portfolio level, whilst allowing for managed growth.
  • Analysing financial information to establish credit worthiness of new and existing customers
  • Supporting the wider Credit Control teams by offering support and guidance.
  • Provision of insight and analysis of key market trends, active participation in risk discussions.
  • Support the New accounts team with credit referrals and provide sound guidance to make credit decisions.
The Ideal Candidate will:
  • Demonstrate experience in a similar capacity within a risk environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft office (strong with Excel)
  • Analytical experience
  • Demonstrate a rational disciplined and methodical approach to delivery
  • Excellent communication, organisational and influencing skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to assess complex problems and deliver solutions
  • Ability to work under pressure and adaptability to a changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to produce accurate reports within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
