Job Description

KS3/4 Computing Teacher St HelensFull timeJanuary 2023 - Feb half term (possibly longer)Prospero Teaching are looking for a creative computing teacher to for a secondary school in St Helens. The school is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive with 1770 students, including more than 250 in the Sixth Form. This role is a full-time position, starting inJanuary 2023 until the end February half term, and there is potential that it could be possibly longer. You will also be expected to teach key stage 3 and 4. The successful candidate will be able to provide exceptional support to students and demonstrate goodbehaviour and classroom assistant/management.You will support delivering a curriculum that assists students to become digitally literate - able to use, and express themselves and develop their ideas through, information and communication technology - at a level that is suitable for use in future workplaces,particularly those in the local area of logistics, manufacturing, transport, technology and pharmaceuticals. These skills include the fundamental knowledge of MS Office Applications as well as those of computational thinking, communication, analytics, problemsolving and collaboration.You must have experience working in a similar role within secondary schools to be considered.CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - St Helens
  • Position - Computer Studies Teacher
  • Start date - January 2023
  • Duration - Feb half term
  • Contract type - Full Time
  • Minimum rate of pay - £120 per day
  • Hours - 8:15AM - 4:00PM Monday to Friday
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Relevant teaching qualification
  • Previous experience working in a school
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, training can be provided)
  • Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, training can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
