My client is a market leading specialist manufacturing business based in Haydock, due to their ongoing success and continuous growth they are looking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. Thesuccessful candidate will take full ownership for a specific set of accounts and will be required to communicate with a number of stakeholders and key personnel within the business in order to provide key information to drive strategic business decisions. Main duties: * Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis including liaising with Operational Mangers for Turnover variances* Reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis* Attend Operational Managers Meetings * Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations completed within the required deadlines* Depreciation Posting and Fixed Asset Reconciliation* Prepare VAT Returns and maintenance of appropriate documentation* Preparation and posting of Journals* Monthly calculation of Estimated Gross Margin * Assist with improvements to and documentation of processes and procedures* Production of Monthly Reports as requested by the businessRequired skills / attributes: * AAT qualified / Actively studying ACCA/ CIMA * Previous experience within a fast paced management accounts role * Strong communication skills across all levels * Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team * Commercial awarenessJW/0307 - Assistant Management Accountant - Haydock - £25-35,000pa
