Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Accountant Salary: circa £30,000- £35,000 DOELocation: St Helens Our client is a reputable and quickly growing family business based near Sutton, St Helens who are looking for a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join their close-knit team. Reporting directly to the Finance manager, your main duties and responsibilities willinclude:

  • Support with the production of month end accounts
  • Assist with the production of management accounts, supporting the Finance Manager
  • Analysing and reporting customer & supplier rebate
  • Responsible for supplier claims and debits & credits
  • Support with stock costing work
  • Any ad hoc duties as required to support the finance team and wider business
The ideal candidate:
  • Previous experience within a similar position
  • Analytical mindset
  • Strong excel skills
  • Friendly personality and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work towards strict deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • High level of accuracy
