Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Fabric Technician/ Fabric Engineer to join an industry leading FM company based across a flagship contract in the South West. The successful candidate will work on a site in Bristol 3/4 days a week and help cover other contractsin the surrounding areas the remainder of the time.Hours of work: 08.00 - 17.00 (Monday to Friday)Salary: up to £30,000 + Vehicle and Fuel CardBenefits: Mobile Phone, Laptop, 25 days annual leavePrincipal Accountabilities:

  • Routine reactive maintenance, as well as cover for planned preventative maintenance tasks as directed by Supervisor covering all buildings within the site and the following:
  • To undertake all duties in a safe, tidy and responsible manner in accordance with H&S requirements
  • Carry out minor building fabric works, that are in contract scope including door replacements/ repairs/ painting and decorating/ minor groundwork repairs
  • To ensure that all relevant paper work is completed satisfactorily to the expected standard.
  • To be responsible for the care and proper use of equipment and tools
  • Ensure that spares and materials are used in a cost-effective manner
  • Support other team members as and when required
  • To carry out other duties as may be reasonably requested by site management or the client
  • Engage and manage contractor delivery for planned and reactive work.
Candidate Profile:
  • Whilst specific qualifications are not required for this position, an understanding of the facilities services industry would be advantageous and a basic appreciation of building services is essential.
  • Carpentry/ Plumbing backgrounds would be advantageous
  • A proven track record in a similar or customer facing role is desirable
  • Good level of interpersonal and customer relationship skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Valid full UK driving licence
  • Excellent customer service
