Job Description

A new role has just arisen within this supportive family based company in St Albans. You’ll be supporting the Warehouse Manager to ensure a smooth, professional and efficient service.The position will predominately include general warehouse duties within a clean environment but with some admin/sales support working as part of a small, busy, team.Responsibilities:

  • Pick, pack & despatch customer orders
  • Enter & book customer deliveries via courier portal
  • Building product(s) from components to fulfil specific customer requirements
  • Checking of batch/serial numbers against Sage 200 records
  • Assisting with goods inwards duties including receipting of goods, unpacking, checking, date stamping, etc.
  • Maintain tidy stock and despatch areas including continuous stock replenishment/rotation
  • Maintain up to date and accurate document filing as a shared duty where necessary
  • Assist with marketing campaigns and mailings when and where necessary
  • Key Tasks
  • To develop knowledge and understanding of the Company and its products to efficiently manage customer orders from receipt through to fulfilment by mastering the Company’s sales order processing systems and despatch procedures
  • To develop knowledge and understanding of procedures associated with receipt of incoming goods
  • Consistent and accurate fulfilment of customer orders including picking/packing and despatch
  • To maintain clear, tidy, organised stock areas ensuring accurate stock rotation
  • To continually replenish stock to facilitate fast, accurate, picking of orders
  • To develop the role to support the growing needs of the Company
  • To apply all policies and procedures and to consistently support a "can do" attitude
  • You will be naturally keen and enthusiastic, physically fit and healthy. Full training will be given in return for a minimum of 1 years’ experience within the working world.
