Job Description

Efficacy / Agronomy Specialist - Crop Protection - Remote Working Available - Competitive SalaryWe’re on the hunt for an Efficacy / Agronomy Specialist,with demonstrable experience working on field trial design, monitoring and reporting, to join a fast-growing, international company on a remote working basis.Suitable Efficacy / Agronomy Specialists will need to possess strong academics, qualified to at least primary degree level in a relevant scientific discipline, have a robust understanding and knowledge of the use and efficacy of crop protection products and be able to present clear and concise written arguments to support a specific regulatory or scientific position on a topic.What’s on offer:This is a great remote working opportunity for an Efficacy / Agronomy Specialist looking to utilise their academics and experience in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.Our client is offering a competitive salary and benefits package for the right candidate.Key responsibilities as the Efficacy / Agronomy Specialist will include:

  • Leading the efficacy programmes
  • Providing agronomic advise to support the R&D and commercial teams
  • Liaising with specialist field trial contract organisations to set up efficacy trials for crop protection products to GEP (Good Experimental Practice)
  • Writing and coordinating the BADs (Biological Assessment Dossiers)
  • Liaising with the product development division to design suitable glasshouse and field trial programmes to support product development activities
  • Liaising with commercial and marketing teams to setup commercial demonstration trials to support the introduction of new products into various markets
  • Providing ergonomic input to support the pipeline selection process
    • What we’re looking for:
  • Previous experience (c5 years+) working on field trial design, monitoring and reporting
  • Excellent academic record, qualified to at least primary degree level in a relevant scientific discipline
  • A robust understanding and knowledge of the use and efficacy of crop protection products
  • Ability to make recommendations on likely efficacy issues
  • Ability to present clear and concise written arguments to support a specific regulatory or scientific position
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to critically evaluate a wide range of data/information
  • Highly organised self-starter
  • IT literate including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proactive team player
  • Ability to travel to company’s HQ in Dublin, when required.
