Job Description

Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary SchoolLocation: Speke, LiverpoolType: Full-TimeA primary school in Speke is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant educational community. This full-time role provides an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about supporting students learning and development.If you possess excellent communication skills, a nurturing attitude, and a commitment to enhancing the educational experience for primary school students, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support to the class teacher in implementing effective teaching and learning activities.
  2. Assist in the planning and preparation of engaging and inclusive learning resources.
  3. Support individual and small group learning activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
  4. Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  5. Assist in the implementation of behaviour management strategies to create a positive and safe learning atmosphere.
  6. Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to contribute to the overall success of the classroom and school community.
  7. Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and engagement.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  2. Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting.
  3. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow instructions.
  5. A patient and nurturing approach towards supporting students learning.
  6. Knowledge of basic classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
  7. Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
