Job Description

We have a new opportunity to join our growing IT team as a SQL Developer/Data Analyst. This is a full time, permanent position which will be based at the Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool.Its an exciting time to join us here at B&M! We are continuously opening new stores, have been recently added on to the FTSE 100 company list and are one of the fastest growing retailers in the UK.As a business we will be undergoing many varied projects within the next year, and we are looking for a SQL Developer/Data Analyst who will play a key role in streamlining /automation of business process; system integration; BI analytics for our digital transformation and new ways of working.In this role, you will:

  • Design, build and deploy business intelligence solutions
  • Develop reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards
  • Connect to data sources, import data and transform data for Business Intelligence
  • Translate business needs to technical specifications
  • Develop and technical documentation and complete frequent data reconciliations
  • Maintain and support ERP, WMS & data management through a data warehouse solution
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
  • Be responsible for design methodology and project documentation
    • The successful candidate will possess a combination of the following experience & skills:
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Report Writer
  • Good experience working with Oracle database and Oracle SQL Developer
  • Be experienced in taking large amounts of data and turning it into reports
  • An in-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Exact, Transform, Load) framework
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Experience dealing with a high volume of data and transactions
  • Focused to deliver successful outcomes and excellent user experience in a fast paced environment, with the ability to prioritise workloads
