Job Description

Are you an competent Accountant with a vast knowledge of setting rents Do you want to work for a fantastic organisation that helps find suitable housing solutions to people in need Looking to take full ownership over setting the rent for a large portfolioof properties If yes, this could be the role for you!Roberson Bell are excited to work with this fantastic housing association as they go to market for a Rents and Legislation Manager on a permanent basis. This opportunity would be ideal for an individual with extensive experience setting rents for a varietyof tenures and a vast understanding of legislation, who looking to utilise their knowledge in a meaningful organisation.The key responsibilities include:

  • Providing pivotal support to the Head of Policy in the creation of rent setting procedures to ensure all units are priced fairly.
  • Holding direct line management responsibility over a Rents Policy Administrator, supporting them in their professional and personal growth.
  • Ensuring all changes in policy and legislation are implemented and all rent charges adhere to these accordingly.
  • Maintaining a critical eye over a large portfolio of properties to ensure all information provided to customers is correct and consistent.
  • Providing analysis into previous and current rental charges to produce reports for senior stakeholders which will aid in the planning of future rent charges.
Working within a dynamic team you will play an essential part in ensuring all rent charges are calculated correctly and in adherence to policies.   • Have a thorough understanding of rental legislation and policy from 1998 and have the ability to keep up to date with any further changes.
  • Be an experienced Accountant who has at least five years experience setting rental charges.
  • Have experience taking, or a strong desire to take, managerial responsibility over an individual.
  • Be proficient using excel functions such as vlookups, pivot tables and have the ability to comprehend large volumes of data.
