Job Description

Maintenance Planner required for a 12-month contract role with a leading multinational client based in Speke.The roleThe key role of the maintenance planner is to own the asset maintenance plan for their area of responsibility. The planner works in the medium to long term time horizon to make sure maintenance tasks are executable.Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the CMMS backlog of work orders within their area.
  • Verifying the availability of parts, materials, access, and special tools required for the job and if needed will order parts and materials for maintenance jobs. Must be able to recognize parts.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the facility that (s)he is supporting to ensure work is created appropriately. This should include walk downs of the area during job plan creation, and quotes from third parties.
  • Understands and shares the vision of the integrated asset management processes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of CMMS
  • Demonstrated strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of maintenance scheduling, planning, procedures, and PM programs.
  • Knowledge of engineering drawing system and different types of equipment and instrumentation within the facility
  • Ensures that planned work is costed accurately such that correct financial decisions can be made.
  • Requirements
  • Some engineering education (HNC), associate’s degree, skilled trade training or experience. Have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • Solid demonstratable background in engineering.
  • Understanding of Lean processes such as PDCA, RCPS.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical, ECI or Chemical Engineering as key skills.
