Job Description

Stock, retail and data Of interest to you Our Buying & Merchandising teams play a critical role at B&M. Our Merchandising teams quite simply make sure that we have exactly the right amount of stock, at the right time and in the right place.Our Support Centre is in Speke, Liverpool L24 and our roles are all based here and are full time and permanent.With over 700 UK stores and being a FTSE 100 business, we want to attract people who really understand stock, retail and the data behind that.The role involves working closely with a Buyer on a specific category. If you shop in B&M then you know that we have a huge range of products so we are all about analysing what our customers have bought and loved and what we can repeat and expand on.This role will be perfect for you if:

  • You’re great with data, have a real interest in stock, retail and numbers and confident in using Excel daily.
  • You are in a Merchandising, Buying or Supply Chain environment but have a preference towards stock analysis.
  • You’re intrigued by how data can influence forecasting and have a real interest in stock and retail.
  • You want to work with a Buyer in a partnership model, ensuring the best performance for your product area.
  • You are into the detail. Merchandising is all about the facts but it is equally about continuous improvement within role
Personal Attributes:
  • Confidence in your ability to work to deadlines and within restrictions to ensure stock is maintained
  • Ability to adapt to change - retail is fast-moving and can you need to be on your toes all the time
  • Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
  • Innate curiosity - always want to know what sells, why and if not why .. find the gaps!
  • Ability to work to calendars which can involve forecasting crucial lines for lengthy periods
  • A desire to learn and progress internally is a reality
