Trust ManagerNottingham Hybrid£45,000 - £60,000A well-respected national law firm ranked in the top 150 are looking for a Trust Manager to join their agricultural law specialists who are regarded as some of the best in their field. As a successful candidate, you will have empathy with the challenges facedby farm businesses and estates as they strive to grow their businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team that looks outward and thrives on delivering great work for clients.Your responsibilities will include overseeing the creation and maintenance of the Trust database, developing an interactive database of trust matters and associated collateral, promoting our trustee services to the trustees of all trusts identified, overseeingthe streamlined retirement of former partners, providing regular progress reports to the Private Client Lead Partner, and providing annual trust administration services such as coordinating the annual management of each trust, liaising with beneficiaries,and providing tax advice to trustees and settlors.To be considered for this position, you must have detailed knowledge of HMRCs Trust Registration Service (TRS) registration requirements and keep your knowledge up to date by following HMRC guidance. Excellent record management skills are essential to ensurethat our internal trust records are up to date, and you must have the ability to advise trustees on their responsibilities under TRS reporting and wider tax reporting, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and stamp duty. You should alsohave experience liaising with beneficiaries, third parties, and acting as the central point of contact for trust administration queries. Knowledge of reporting using the Capital Gains Tax on UK Property service and professional tax software is desirable.You will be skilled at Excel, have impeccable file management, and be able to effectively and efficiently manage all matters.
