As a Support Worker you could be supporting individuals with swimming, assisting with the weekly shop, or even helping to administer the right medication.Our Support Workers are focused on active listening, meaningful engagement and ensuring people lead full, healthy and active lives.At Helena people lead very active lives and are supported in taking part in a wide range of activities that can help increase social and communication skills. This includes aqua fit, day centre activities, evening groups, bingo, gym sessions and swimming to name a few. The service also supports people in going on day trips such as going to the zoo, seaside and a recent trip in to London.One person keeps two guinea pigs as pets which is a great step towards independence and responsibility.If you would like to know more details about the role please click the job description below.What experience do you need You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions.
