Shift pattern:4 shifts on, 4 off 6am - 6pmSkills/Qualifications required• Experience working in an operational environment; Supply chain and/or Logistics experience beneficial.• Strong Excel skills• A strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, evolving environment• Strong and clear communication skills• Natural problem-solving skills (and a desire to identify the problems before they happen)• An interest in the food industry - particularly distribution• Experience in dealing with 3PLs• A strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentWhat you’ll do•Monitor and manage day to day multi-site transfers and collections•Troubleshooting supply chain and logistics issues, which could have an operational impact. Escalating to the appropriate team as required•Raising Purchase Orders and dealing with any associated payment and invoice queries•Regular contact both by phone and face to face with logistics partners•Own the transfer tool and be the responsible person for raising transfer orders to ensure the right material is at the right site at the right time•Liaise with the planning department to raise any potential material shortages•Actively seek ways to improve supply chain and logistics processes to improve efficiency, remove waste and deliver potential cost improvements•Ensure a smooth booking process for all required transport whilst highlighting and actively seeking opportunities to reduce costs•Be a multi-skilled team member to provide holiday support to other members of the team as required
