Job Description

Legal Secretary – Private Clients£20,000 - £23,000Spalding Based This role is working with the Private Client teams, supporting the fee earners therefore this role will be office based and bring some normality back into your working week.You will be working with a very well established top tier legal firm who have a good footing in the market place and award winners across many platforms, part of the reason for their success is down to hard work but also treating everyone with respect and looking after their staff. They have a very inclusive and encouraging approach and a drive to do the best in everything they do.The role:

  • Supporting the fee earners with reporting, typing, diary management and client support
  • Transcribe all correspondence
  • Help with the research on Properties, Land Registry and SDLT returns
  • Case Management
  • Ensuring accurate records are kept electronically and paper files
  • Helping clients with an queries they may have
  • Ensuring all clients are attended to within deadlines
  • Mapping workloads
  • Support to the fee earners with regards to deadline reminders
  • Handling the post, emails and calls into the department
  • Typing and Administration support
  • Prepare legal documentation from dictation tapes
  • Managing diaries – appointments, meetings, zoom calls etc
  • Follow all legal procedures and company policy
  • Is this you
  • Ability to work on your own effectively
  • Plan yours and other team member’s days
  • Have a can do attitude and a genuine desire to help and support your teams
  • Solve problems relating to paperwork, deadlines, workloads and cover
  • Have a basic knowledge of fee- earners work
  • Worked within the legal field before, ideally within Private Clients Department
  • Audio typist at least 70wpm
  • Grammar, spelling and attention to detail must be a very high standard
  • Secretarial or PA experience
  • Strong and confident telephone manner
  • A calm demeanour who is professional with a helpful nature
  • Switchboard experience is an advantage but full training can be provided
