Job Description

This is a new and significant role for a world-renowned European specialist fertiliser manufacturer.We are seeking an experienced technical sales representative who has a proven background in commercial horticulture to take the lead with this new enterprise.The successful applicant will be responsible for developing excellent relationships with distributors and growers across the UK’s horticultural cropping regions. You will provide training and technical support in the field and promote a core range of products.All sales will be handled by distributor partners in the UK but you will need to be capable of having successful commercial negotiations and continually assessing market price levels.This is a field based role, the individual will be required to travel and cover all areas of the UK, popping into the head office in Lincolnshire once or twice a month.There will also be some international travel, visiting production sites and representing the manufacturer at various trade shows across the UK and Europe.This is a new and exciting venture. My client is looking for a proven individual who is motivated at the prospect of taking on a new challenge.Salary is dependent on experience; the commission structure will be established at the interview stage. A company vehicle will be provided and travel expenses will be covered.The Job - National Sales Representative:

  • Promote speciality fertilisers with distributors and growers/farmers.
  • Provide technical support in the field, providing advice and solutions to distributors and growers.
  • Create your own network, generating your own leads and building a successful sales pipeline.
  • This individual will work closely with the manufacturer, being imbedded in their technical process and fully understanding the products capabilities.
  • Successfully grow UK fertilisers sales.
  • Key crops will be in commercial horticulture, including field horticulture, with some cross over into arable cropping.
The Company:

  • A business that prides themselves on offering exceptional and traditional levels of service.
  • Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm.
  • Lincolnshire based.
The Individual:
  • A proven understanding of UK commercial horticulture.
  • Previous technical sales experience in horticulture.
  • FACTS or willing to take FACTS.
  • Proactive, driven and motivated.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Valid passport for European travel.
