Management AccountantSpalding – South LincsSite based with some flexibility on start/finish timeBroster Buchanan are delighted to be working in partnership with Anglia UK as they look to appoint a Management Accountant (practice or industry trained).Company OverviewWith over 25 year’s experience, Anglia UK is the UK’s leading Vehicle Repossession and Debt Recovery company in the UK.Working on behalf of the UK’s leading banks, car manufacturers and asset finance companies specialising in; automotive debt management, repossessions, audits, and vehicle collection/delivery services.With offices in Spalding, Anglia UK employ 100+ office and field based colleagues, and boast a Secure Compound and Storage for 1,150 vehicles, Vehicle Workshop and fleet of circa 100 vehicles.The opportunityAs Management Accountant, youll work closely with an experienced and supportive Finance Director and become an essential part of a team thats as fun as it is professional.Youll have the chance to dive into a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Crafting monthly management accounts for all group companies, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Analysing monthly forecasts, KPIs, and providing insightful commentary on variances.
  • Taking ownership of accounting entries and monthly control account reconciliations.
  • Managing and supporting the staff handling purchase and sales ledgers, tackling any overdue balances together.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns and overseeing the production of payroll, including PAYE and pension submissions.
  • Assisting in the creation of quarterly budgets and maintaining day-to-day financial processes to keep the department running smoothly.
  • Building strong inter-departmental relationships, ensuring the finance department operates effectively.
Suitable applicants
  • Ideally hold an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or be nearly qualified. Consideration will also be given to Qualified by experience individuals
  • Experienced in management accounts with the technical skills to match.
  • Someone who thrives under pressure and can meet monthly deadlines with a smile.
  • A problem solver with a positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of Sage Line 50 and wider Sage applications would be a bonus
