Job Description

Credit ControllerFull time, permanent opportunitySpalding, Lincolnshire23 - 24kAre you keen to become and integral part of a finance team in a growing commercial businessThe role is offered as a full time, permanent opportunity- with hybrid working opportunities.Above all else, you will be an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail and a hardworking, professional attitude. This company are always keen to develop staff and ensure that opportunities for progression are available.You will be expected to work alongside the wider finance team to provide cover during periods of absence and liaise closely with various intercompany sites and department.The key duties will be split across the sales ledger and credit control aspects of the business:Sales Ledger / Credit Control

  • Raise sales invoices on a daily basis by matching to proof of delivery and adjusting quantities where necessary
  • Produce EDI files for transmission to Supermarkets ensuring receipt
  • Post and allocate all sales ledger payments, ensuring that payments are received in accordance to credit terms
  • Chasing of all overdue debt
  • Monitoring all claims received via email or remittance, dispute them and chasing hauliers for copy PODs were required
  • Obtain authorisation of agreed debit notes in accordance with company policy
  • Liaise with Commercial teams for outstanding debt and resolution of price debit issues
  • Issue Debt report on a weekly basis, keeping the management team updated on overdue amounts and the status of chasing
  • Ensure debit note tracker is kept up to date at all times
  • Manage and update customer master files
  • Assist with any ad-hoc duties as required including support for Commercial during peaks
Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Fast, accurate data inputting skills
  • Ability to work to very tight deadlines - whilst still maintaining excellent service levels
  • Must have attention to detail and ability to resolve issues on own initiative
  • Good spreadsheet skills
  • Potential to progress beyond this role
