Job Description

An award-winning AV Integration provider specialising in higher education is seeking a Technical Project Support Assistant based in Exeter to join its expanding team in the Southwest. You will receive a basic salary of up to £28,000 per annum, plus a companyvehicle, bonus (circa 4k) and other benefits.The company specialises in the design and installation of Audio Visual equipment to education, government and corporate sectors via a nationwide branch network and have over 45 years of experience in the audio-visual industry. Currently the Finalists in theIndustry specific AV Awards the company has also been awarded a "high commendation" from its customers in education and from its Technical Partners alike and has achieved many of the industry’s accreditation.As Technical Project Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the project team in the coordination of projects from the initial tender stage and system design through to planning, execution, and handover documentation.
  • Offering remote support to the established customer base where possible.
  • Ensuring each project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Being involved with technical system design, collaborating on production of technical documents such as scope of works, system design drawings, schematics, and other information for tender submission.
  • Some aspects of system testing and configuration in the workshop, plus other administrative tasks such as compilation of data for inclusion within the Operations and Maintenance manuals submitted to clients.
We are looking for a Technical Project Support Assistant who has the following skills and experience:
  • Experience in system design and schematic creation is also highly desirable, as are accreditations in AVIXA / InfoComm CTS and other industry accreditations.
  • A highly detail-oriented approach in all aspects is required.
  • Flexible and adaptable, often working to tight deadlines with occasional additional hours.
  • As a key member of the team, you will need to be an excellent and disciplined communicator.
  • IT literacy - Extensive use of MS Office, Visio, AutoCAD LT, and other custom software however training will be provided for the successful candidate as required.
  • Willingness to take on a variety of other tasks when the business requires it, including some potential travel within the South West and South Wales when assisting teams.
