Base Location: Based from our Exeter office - location of work Devon, Cornwall and SomersetSalary: £40,201 to £53,096 plus Company Car or Cash Allowance, Overtime + StandbyWorking Pattern: 37 hours | Permanent | Flexible Working AvailableAbout the CompanySSE Enterprise Contracting is one of the UKs largest Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors with a product/service portfolio ranging from M&E LV, HV, Instrumentation, Street Lighting, Facilities Management through to Combined Heat and Power solutions.What is the RoleIn this role youll be working on LV/HV networks and associated plant as well as providing technical support during early sales engagement. Youll also undertake full SAP operational duties ranging from operational switching, network control and creating and implementing protection settings. There will also be a requirement to provide project management expertise across a range of HV Projects.What Do I NeedTo be successful in this role, youll ideally be an experienced Senior Authorised Person on HV systems up to 11kV, with extensive operational experience on a diverse range of HV and LV systems, and accredited to the standards set by a UK licensed Distribution Network Operator. Experience and authorisation up to 33kV would be advantageous but not essential. Youll be familiar with, and comply with, all Suspension of Operational Practice, Dangerous Incident Notifications and National Defect Reports, with proven expertise in complex site project and contract management. In addition, youll have extensive knowledge of Switching and Network Control as well as the construction, commissioning and operation of electrical plant and equipment on all types of HV systems, including complex protection schemes and grading studies.Passionate about safety, youll promote this throughout your team and to all Contractors on site, comfortably challenging any unsafe behaviours or attitudes. Youll have strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver technical training and advice to less-experienced colleagues.
