The OpportunityReporting to the Group Facilities Manager, the Facilities Coordinator will provide day to day facilities management of the Exeter site ensuring compliance with environmental & health & safety legislation ensuring we provide a safe and professional workingenvironment for over 250 employees and visitors.You will also fully contribute to the implementation of group-wide facilities infrastructure and processes, supporting other team members in other locations as required. The role will support & drive delivery of key project work in other locations e.g. Health& Safety initiativesThe role will involve:
  • Leading the management of the group health and safety programme across all applicable sites.
  • Managing relevant occupational health issues in conjunction with our HR colleagues (including maternity) and complete DSE assessments as required.
  • Managing our online health and safety training programme
  • Managing all essential health and safety processes e.g. fire logbook, accident records, first aid and fire marshals. Organise training when necessary.
  • Managing the administration of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) across all applicable sites, including the BCP hub on our intranet.
  • Managing all aspects of the Environmental Management System to maintain our ISO14001 accreditation.
  • Participating in ISO14001 audits with the Group Facilities Manager.
  • Being the subject matter expert and oversee administration of the Environmental Management System, offering advice & training to other teams dealing with waste, including hazardous waste.
  • Liaising with our network of contractors for maintenance/breakdown support and build rapport with contractors for continuity.
About YouThe Facilities Coordinator will be confident with a good standard of education, a strong communicator with the ability to coach others and work well under pressure. You will also have/be:
  • Previous experience in a facilities management role, particularly experience with environmental management systems (preferably ISO14001) and health and safety (to include DSE) would be an advantage
  • IOSH Managing Safely and DSE Level 2 qualifications are desirable
  • Environmental and NEBOSH qualifications would be an advantage
