Drainage EngineerRoom to grow. We work with a wide range of partners such as local authorities and Highways England to improve the quality and safety of UK roads - making us the No.1 highways and tunnel maintenance team across the country, delivering over £1 billion of social value by maintaining 31,000km of roads used by six million people in their everyday lives.We are recruiting a Drainage Engineer to design and deliver cost effective and technically sound design solutions for drainage schemes in accordance with the Forward Programme.ResponsibilitiesThe Drainage Engineer will identify and apply appropriate methodologies and standards to produce effective and innovative solutions for Drainage schemes and studies to current standards. You will get the opportunity to prepare design calculations, drawings and tender/contract documents and prepare land plans and schedules for access as required. Assistance with preparation required for the Value Management of Drainage Schemes. It will be important to maintain good relations with the Client. SWDSC Community and other authorities, attending meetings as necessary. Work within wider team to enable effective delivery of schemes and studies.Key Skills and Qualifications:Experience of highways mainteance and design preferential alongside the ability to communicate well in the written and spoken wordComputer literate with competent ability and knowledge of MS Office SuiteUse of drainage software including WinDES.BEng in Civil Engineering with appropriate experience for the role.IEng with appropriate Institution (ICE, CIWEM, CIHT) desirable.Useful knowledge of software packages:
