Job Description

Are you a dynamic and engaging Learning Support Assistant or Graduate looking for work in the Southport areaTradewind are working on behalf of a secondary school in Southport who are looking to appoint a full time Learning Support Assistant. The successful Learning Support Assistant or Graduate will be working 1:1 supporting the new Year 7 students starting inSeptember. The role will be Monday- Friday, 8.30am - 3.15pm for whole of the academic year (September 2022 - July 2023).This Southport school are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant or Graduate, who is eager to provide aid and support for the pupils and teachers.For the role, you will :-

  • Have experience of working with young people OR be a Graduate working towards a PGCE OR hold a Teaching Assistant qualification be working collaboratively with the SENDCo and other members of staff;
  • be working on a one-to-one basis with a student or with a small group of students, identified by the class Teacher;
  • be responsible for making learning as accessible as possible for the students that you work with and therefore it is essential that you show empathy and patience, whilst ensuring they are as engaged as possible;
  • be a committed, positive and nurturing character
