TIG WelderA rare opportunity has become available for a number of experienced TIG Welders to join a well-known Aerospace Manufacturing business based in South Yorkshire. The role will allow you to be part of a fantastic team, carrying out duties within a fast-paced Manufacturingbusiness.As a TIG Welder you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling components using manual TIG Welding, operating semi-automated Circumferential and Longitudinal Welding machines whilst following strict guidelines covering safety, quality and work instructions,conducting regular maintenance checks on machines and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Working Hours: 2 shift pattern (Mornings / Afters)Salary: £28,913.00 inclusive of Shift Allowance Benefits:* Bonus* Employee Assistance Scheme* Christmas ShutdownDuties & Responsibilities:*Work on semi-automated welding equipment for both Circumferential and Longitudinal welds.*Operate EBW and automated robot weld equipment.*Conduct weld inspection operations to customer drawings.*Conduct TIG welding.*Conduct weld repairs.*Ensure products are to the correct tolerances and meet customer as well as internal standards and specifications (NADCAP and AS9100 standards).*Interpret drawings.*Work meticulously to work instructions and procedures.*Keep equipment operational by completing autonomous maintenance requirements.*Provide feedback on production issues as and when they arise.*Know and understand company and department policies and safety procedures.*Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.*Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:*NVQ/qualification in Engineering discipline - Desirable*Proven track record in welding - Essential*Aerospace experience - Desirable*Experience with semi-automated Welding - Desirable*Basic understanding of lean principles (5S) - Essential*Experience of working to production targets - EssentialIf you meet the above criteria we would love to hear from you!
