Job Description

We urgently require Skilled Carpenters / Joiners for an exciting new opportunity with our prestigious new Modular Building client based around the South Yorkshire area.You will also be Time Served and ideally hold NVQ / City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent.Duties to include:

  • Perform day to day tasks in Carpentry/Joinery working hands on, alongside Supervisors and other team members. You will actively perform Carpentry/Joinery duties on the manufacture of Modular Building Structures.
  • Take on multiple tasks to exceed client delivery requirements.
  • Handle timber in all aspects of manufacturing using wood working machinery to fit and finish client modular frames.
  • Undertake a range of trades and labour duties as required by the client to include making and installing timber frame panels for walls, floors, and roof panels.
  • Installing a variety of building products including, sheeting, doors, windows etc
  • Undertaking 2nd Fix construction operations and manufacturing Modular units from panels.
  • Comply with Health and Safety processes and making sure all company procedures are fully understood and adhered to
    • Ideal Candidate:
  • Time served with at least 2 years experience
  • NVQ qualified or equivalent
  • Have good overall time management skills
  • Experience of working with timber frame pre panelised factory frames
  • Ideally experience of using hand tools within all aspects of Basic Carpentry/ Bench Joinery/Joinery/Wood Working or any other relevant practical experience.
  • Must understand ` Quality Assurance` principles.
  • Able to prioritise and can demonstrate good judgement in decision making.
  • Willing to work as part of a team or/and can work unsupervised if needed.
  • Ideally experience of working in a fast-paced production environment.
