Job Description

Senior Data Protection OfficerHybrid / Yorkshire or Midlands Up to £60,000 + Benefits such as 35-hour work week, flexible hours, 25 days Holidays + Bank holidays, Life assurance and more This opportunity is for an experienced Data Protection Officer to join a rapidly growing legal-tech firm and be responsible for supporting the significant increased demand for their services. You will be experienced and successful in data protection and witha proven track record, and in this role you will be given the opportunity to achieve results and develop your career in all aspects of information law and practice. Some of the responsibilities of the Data Protection Officer will include but not be limited to:

  • Providing GDPR, DPA & PECR consultancy
  • Providing data protection training
  • Giving information security advice
  • Undertaking compliance reviews and audits
This role will be primarily based from home, but candidates must live within a commutable distance of either Yorkshire or the Midlands, as semi-regular travel will be required. This exciting organisation have achieved record revenues year on year and have recentlyopened their fifth UK office.Requirements:
  • 3+ years experience in data protection, information security or similar compliance roles
  • Relevant qualifications e.g., CIPP/E, Data Protection Certificate, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor etc
  • Experience in either consultancy services or managing in-house data protection and compliance programmes
  • Beneficial sector experienceLegal or Financial
