Job Description

Provide Education are seeking Secondary Teachers for full and part-time roles across South Yorkshire this term and from September. We are specifically seeking individuals who have experience teaching pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, and/or Special Educational Needs and DisabilitiesWe are seeking Fully and Newly Qualified Teachers with a range of secondary subject specialisms, including:

  • Mathematics
  • Science (Biology/Physics/Chemistry)
  • English
  • Physical Education
  • Information Technology
  • Humanities
  • Health and Social Care
    • As a teacher working through Provide Education, you will receive assignments in a range of schools across South Yorkshire - in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield - and will specifically be working with young people with additional needs, and those who can exhibit challenging behaviours. It is essential that you will have experience planning and delivering lessons in your subject area for pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs. You will have excellent behaviour management skills and may also have received training in holistic positive behaviour support such as Team Teach. You may be required to work within mainstream secondary schools, resourced or alternative provisions, and Pupil Referral Units across the region. Access to a car would be beneficial, but we are happy to discuss specific locations that are accessible to your via public transport.The ideal candidate will:
  • Be available for a minimum of 3 days a week during term-time
  • Have experience teaching pupils with additional learning needs
  • Be resilient and be able to effectively manage pupil behaviour
  • Have excellent subject knowledge to plan and deliver lessons for 11-16 year olds in your chosen subject
  • Have QTS or QTLS with SET membership

You MUST have previous experience working with young people with SEND/SEMH within a mainstream or special school environment. All teachers working through Provide Education require a DBS with Update Service registration, and a minimum of L1 Safeguarding Children.
