Job Description

Lead Developer - South Yorkshire/Fully Remote(Senior Developer - Full Stack Developer - PHP Developer)

  • Stack - PHP | Laravel | JavaScript | Vue.Js | AWS | Agile
  • Up to £55,000 starting salary dependent on your experience
  • Heading up the team at one of the UKs largest motor groups
The RoleOne of the largest, most successful and fastest growing motor groups need an experienced PHP Developer to head up their close-knit tech team. This would suit a Developer looking to take the next step in their career from a Senior to a Lead.Youll be heading up a dynamic development team, and working closely with other team members to work on both internal systems as well as external customer facing websites. As the lead, you will be client focused and understand the importance of ensuringproducts work effectively.Key Responsibilities:
  • Giving feedback and guidance to other members of the team
  • Carrying out code reviews
  • Architecting of new code
  • Constantly refining the codebase
  • Ensuring defects and time-to-fix defects are low
  • Develop strong relationships with other departments
  • Constant review and improvement of all systems
  • Continuous development of the company websites
Skills & Experience Required:Essential;
  • MVC framework experience to a high level (Laravel/Symfony)
  • Good project planning skills
  • Experience of writing unit tests
  • Experience of SCRUM and Sprint planning
  • Prior commercial PHP development experience
  • Knowledge and experience of database structure design
  • Good working knowledge of Javascript/VueJS/JQuery/Ajax
  • Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts such as inheritance, composition, etc.
  • Experience with XML, SOAP, JSON & RESTful services
Desirable;
  • Qualification or experience in software/web development or related discipline
  • Experience of maintaining a LAMP stack
  • Knowledge of a Git Version Control System
  • Experience of using a Docker development environment
  • AWS Experience
