Could this be you About the Role: You will workas part of the team at Rotherham DCA, managing a number of supported living services in the community. At the supported living services, we support adults with a variety of needs including learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism, complex needs andbehaviours that may challenge. As a Field Support Supervisor, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining person centred support plans and ensuring high quality support is being provided to the people that we support. Carrying out other duties designatedby the Manager which include delegation of duties to support workers, you will also promote good practice at all times and act as an effective and positive role model. As a Field Support Supervisor, you may be required to work alone with the people you supportor as part of a team, and may be required to provide support in any location appropriate to meet the needs of the service. You will be a role model and lead a team of support workers to deliver intense support with all aspects of everyday life including encouragingand prompting personal cares, meal preparation, housekeeping, medication, attending health appointments and taking part in hobbies & activities. Crucially, enabling them to carry out tasks, chores and hobbies that most people take for granted but are meaningfulto the people we support. Our aim is to encourage the individuals to live as independently as possible and develop their independent living skills. You will actively promote positive behavior support and ensure the team of support workers are delivering thehighest quality care and support. You will also conduct supervisions and appraisals, ensure all training is up to date, participate in rotering, on call duties in addition to other day to day responsibilities. You will have previous experience of leading ateam and it is essential you have experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and associated needs. The Field Support Supervisor role is a 37.5hr contract where you will have a 50:50 split of hours on and off rota. You will predominantly workwithin the Rotherham area, although this could include Sheffield, Leeds, Wakefield and surrounding areas so a full UK driving license is essential for the role. You must be able to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the individual and provide effectivesupport to the staff team.
