Job Description

Job title: Contract ManagerLocation: Hybrid - Home/ NCC - Dearne Valley, South YorkshireSalary: circa £50,000Hours: Full time - 35 hours per weekClosing date: 10:00 Tuesday 16th November 2021We have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager to join the RSPCAs National Control Centre (NCC) on a permanent, full time basis.Our NCC receives more than a million calls a year from members of the public, managing the vital emergency rescue response by tasking local frontline Inspectors and Animal Rescue Officers to respond to animal welfare concerns.As Contract Manager youll be responsible for the management of the NCC and associated contracts. Youll focus on performance, compliance and ensuring that client relations are developed and maintained with regular communication essential for a collaborativerelationship.Its an exciting time to join us in the decade of our bicentenary as we implement our new Strategy to 2030; delivering a digital transformation programme to help drive significant animal welfare improvements across England and Wales. Well soon be introducingan enhanced telephony platform and webchat operation which, by using data analytics, will optimise both telephone and web-based self-service of animal welfare cases. This will enable members of the public to report cases themselves without unnecessarily havingto converse with advisers, helping to prioritise reaching the animals most in need.We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong understanding of the commercial needs of a charity and who can develop and maintain an extensive network of contacts across the RSPCA.What youll be doing:

  • Acting as the key point of contact between the RSPCA, provider and associated third parties to ensure timely review and approval of any variations required
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with the provider, associated contract providers, vendors, suppliers and customers
  • Ensuring business policies and processes are effectively communicated and implemented within the contract
  • Supervising contract execution to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards
  • Reviewing service levels against invoices and authorising as appropriate
Youll have:
  • Significant experience of leading and managing large and complex contracts
  • Excellent negotiation and influential skills, working with legal and business teams
  • Attention to detail and strong understanding of agreements
  • A strong understanding of financial management and control, procurement and reporting
  • Ability to work across multiple teams and build relationships as a team player with the provider, whilst maintaining a focus on the contract governance and compliance.
  • Knowledge of charity sector related legislation
