Yorkshire.DescriptionReporting to the engineering manager and acting as a key specialist within the engineering team you will make a valuable contribution to the delivery of bespoke projects.The key responsibilities for the successful Concrete Design Engineer include:Understanding technical briefs and delivering tailored design solutionsUtilising knowledge of Reinforced Concrete (RC) and design codes such as Eurocodes and BS8007 to produce best practice designs.Producing detailed designs, using FEA and preforming hand calculations to back up results.Writing concise reports and being able to liaise with other designers and clients on a technical levelIncreasing your knowledge of structural steel components and support in the design ofProfileThis is an important post for the business and as such the successful applicant must be a proactive individual who is able to manage their workload autonomously.The successful Concrete Design Engineer must:Have a recognised qualification in a Civil, Structural or Mechanical disciplineHave previous experience of designing reinforced concrete structuresBe able to demonstrate design capabilities using CAD (Inventor or Solidworks preferred) and FEA, (STAAD ideally, but other structural packages will be considered).Job OfferA competitive salary and package for a specialist Design Engineer.Opportunity for internal progression and development through the business.
