SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe with strong positions in its core markets as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and merchant of roofing and exterior products. We are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to manage our Construction Accessories accounts within our Distribution business, who will assist SIG as we look to build on our position in the market to drive sustainablegrowth, profitability and increased customer value, by working with major contractors through existing Trading Agreements and relationships with National Main contractors across the UK.What does the role involveAs Business Development Manager, you will be expected to manage current agreements with our national main contractor partners and manage engagement on all associated main contractor partner projects. You will take the lead in engaging anddeveloping regional, design-led relationships with main contractor offices and identifying, developing and managing relationships with regional contractors at all levels, making SIG the solution and product supplier of choice with regional contractors.The successful candidate will require: Construction Accessories knowledge, with a proven track record in delivering results and financial targets and a can-do attitude Strong decision-making ability and successful sales management experience, with in-depth knowledge and understanding of an effective sales function and best practices Excellent business, commercial and financial acumen, with a pragmatic approach Demonstrable leadership skills, with strategic thinking, influencing and negotiating skills Good communication and stakeholder management skills with high ethical standards and the drive to succeed Professionalism, the ability to self-organise and the confidence and flexibility to work in a high-pressure environment Advanced IT skills, especially MS Excel with experience of CRMs advantageousIn return we offer: Competitive salary with annual pay award and staff recognition schemes Great work life balance, with sociable working hours. 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
