As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing one-on-one or small group support to children with visual impairments,ensuring they receive the individualised attention they need to thrive academically and socially.Your responsibilities as a teaching assistant will include working closely with the class teacher to implement tailored educational plans, adapting learning materials to suit different visual needs, and providing assistance during practical activities. Youwill also help create a nurturing and inclusive environment, where all students feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.The school is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities in Wandsworth and resources specifically designed to cater to children with visual impairments. We have a talented and experienced staff team who are dedicated to creating a stimulating and engaginglearning environment for our students.To thrive in this teaching assistant role, you should have a genuine passion for working with children with visual impairments. Experience in special needs education and knowledge of assistive technologies would be advantageous but is not essential. We valueenthusiasm, empathy, and a willingness to learn and grow.
