Job Description

Jamf GuruMachine & application deploymentthe roleThe role is for an experienced, Jamf certified architect, administrator and tier 3 machine build escalation engineer. The role will be focused on the creation, maintenance and development of mostly macOS builds and ensuring the availability of our cloud infrastructure as part of a complete machine management offering from pebble.it. A successful candidate will be highly passionate about the improvement of customer experience through technology, proactive in their work often needing little direction from management. Highly organised and able to lead a small team of engineers, they will also be able to work alongside the management team to identify business advancement opportunities, plan and action them.macOSUsing our existing toolchain, you will be expected to produce client builds to brief specifications with a view to significantly reduce machine preparation time, provide conformity, increase support surface area, harden security and empower users with tooling that enables them to execute repeatable IT workflows safely.CloudWe offer a global management service, which you will be responsible for maintaining and developing whilst keeping costs low. You will be required to enforce best practice and security across our accounts, identify new, more appropriate platform services and migrate services where required.Deployment ToolsDuties will also include the account management of various solution platforms including Desktop Central (Manage Engine), SCCM, Intune, JumpCloud & Okta. This includes providing product demos and consultancy as well as offering managed hosting where you will need to maintain our standard of a 365/7 service, offer technical support and maintain client accounts.StrategyYou will, as a key member of the team, be encouraged to offer proposals for new technical directions that will improve our services and customer experiences including reviewing and suggestion new technologies and tooling. You should be methodical in your work and proactive in your approach often seeing potential growth issues before they occur.Support

  • Support of pebble.it hosted infrastructure.
  • Resolution of 3rd-line Windows deployment support queries.
  • Take ownership of technical issues, working with infrastructure and infrastructure engineers to resolve more cross domain issues when necessary.
  • Issue tracking and resolution of management tools and services.
  • Prioritise urgent and critical issues as part of the senior engineer response team.
  • Knowledge Sharing
  • Identifying knowledge gaps and working with all technical team members in documenting typical troubleshooting, problem resolution steps, best practice workflows and automation processes.
  • Preparation & presentation of group training sessions.
  • Review & anticipate areas of outsourced training that would benefit the team.
  • Projects & Consultancy
  • Assist with existing client projects & offer consultancy when required by offering your expertise in windows machine management and cloud operations.
  • Analysing, critiquing and improving our existing infrastructure & cloud implementations and providing best practice guidance. eg. how we manage content delivery, integrate with AD or how we deploy on-premise services.
