Job Description

Senior Chemistry Technician Westminster based secondary schoolStart ASAP We are seeking a hardworking team leader to join the Science department as an Senior Chemistry Technician at secondary school in Westminster, central London.The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of outstanding science practicals and lessons by leading a supportive team. You will also have some management of the departments finances/stock/ordering supplies- in which experience is ideal. Youwill also be required to support other science technicians and direct them in their duties accordingly.You will innovate and introduce new systems to ensure; the safety of staff and students, effectiveness of your team, organisation of resources and effective use of the departmental budget. You will have relevant experience, a good understanding of Healthand Safety within labs, knowledge up to GCSE/A-Level science lessons and with suitable science qualifications (for example COSHH/ degree in science).Requirements

  • Science related degree (BSc/ MSc)
  • Experience within an educational laboratory setting - Schools or Colleges is preferred.
  • Advanced understadning of scientific software/equipment and programmes used in education.
  • Strong understanding of Safeguarding and professionalism within schools.
  • Subject to References and DBS Check
