Job Description

We are searching for an adept Payroll Assistant to join our clients well-established finance team within the hospitality industry, based in West End London. The role requires an individual who has finance/payroll processing experience, strong data entryand excel skills, with excellent communications skills.Client DetailsThis is a well-established Hotel Group, boasting a significant presence in London. Employing a large number of staff across various departments, the company is renowned for its strong commitment to employee development and customer satisfaction.DescriptionAs the Payroll Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for end-to-end monthly payroll function including ad-hoc payments and deductions in accordance with company policy in an accurate and timely manner using People XD system.
  • First point of contact for all payroll related matters, providing advice and resolve issues raised by employees.
  • Calculate annual leave and ensure the correct payment or accrued/ undertaken for employees exiting the business.
  • Perform all reconciliations and audit tasks for monthly payroll.
  • Processes any loans to employee (excluding student loans)
  • Generates payslips and P45/ P60s, P11D.
  • Responsible for processing all employee new starters and leavers.
  • Manages the collation of all payroll information and payroll MI distributing reports as required.
  • Administers company auto enrolment and pension schemes.
ProfileThe successful Payroll Assistant will have:
  • Previous experience in UK payroll required (must be in-house payroll)
  • Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable
  • Experience using payroll management system (PeopleXD)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Highly numerate with great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prepare and present financial reports
  • Personable approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A positive can-do attitude and a proactive approach to work, you are able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Job Offer
  • £30,000 to £35,000 salary
  • Based in West End London (Central)
