Job Description

Role: Learning Support Assistant- Year 3 classLocation: Battersea, SW11 January 2024.Weekly Pay: £330 - £370 (Take Home Pay AFTER deductions)Hours of Work: 8:30am - 3:30pm / (term-time only)Start Date: Janaury 2024Q:Are you Passionate about supporting children with Special Education NeedsQ:Are you searching for a new Long Term opportunity in Battersea, WandsworthLTF Recruitment are currently seeking experienced teaching assistants to provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 child with ASD. The child needs support with behaviour and communication, often getting frustrated with activities and can portray an aggressive behaviour.With the right SEN Teaching Assistant the child has seen great development in the past and found being in class a lot easier! This is a full time role starting for the new Academic year- with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.Working as an ASD Teaching Assistant you will be providing 1:1 support to SEN children in a Mainstream primary environment, leading smaller group sessions to help support SEN pupils in their literacy and numeracy skills and supporting the class teacher withthe preparation of lessons and resources.The school are eager to see candidates who:

  • Have a relevant degree or TA qualification
  • Have at least one years school based experience
  • Understand how to work with SEN pupils
  • Are capable of understanding the primary school curriculum
  • Can build relationships with pupils quickly and efficient
Criteria:
  • Have at least one years experience working within a school.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be able to quickly build relationships with students and staff
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (within 1 year or on the update service)
  • 2 X Refs
  • Right to work in the UK
